Description
The prime aim is to educate pupils/students to become independent learners. Conventional teaching does not do this; in fact it hinders this aim. Years ago, before the internet, learners had to be given information (taught) because this information was not readily available to them. Unfortunately, this still happens in most schools around the world and learners are ‘force-fed’ information with no time to learn. Also teachers and schools are still judged on this old system, something which prevents them ‘breaking out of the shackles’.
My seminar today explains the nonsense of most current educational systems and suggests a way forward utilising the internet and cloud storage. I shall explain the advantages of flipped learning and the use of twiducate to complement this flipped learning.
In accordance with flipped learning, I want this seminar to be as interactive as possible, with you, the learners, coming to the seminar prepared, having seen my presentations and articles before the seminar. You will then be in a better position to ask questions. Many give courses on flipped learning without employing the ethos of it themselves.
Below are links to my presentations and articles which will prepare you for my seminar.
