About the innovation

STEAM Clean the Bay

The year 5 and 6 learning journey about STEAM Clean the Bay is a continuation of the learning students have engaged in over the past 2 years. This is an action research programme aimed to actively engage students and promote a culture of collaboration within the school and beyond the classroom.

Our students will focus on science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics to help them make informed decisions about how best to protect and transform the landscape. The support of experts from Port Phillip Ecocentre will ensure students are directly connected to the Port Phillip Bay and catchment area. Students will become ambassadors for the Bay; they will plan, design and create innovative ways to appreciate and protect its future.

Although creativity and innovation is highlighted throughout the learning journey, collaboration, community and active citizenship will also play a vital role.
