Sign Up For August's Thematic Talk On Student Voice
Following the success of our recent thematic talks, we're delighted that the HundrED community is eager to gather online once again to share their knowledge, ideas and experiences – this time on the theme of student voice in education.
Thematic talks are online discussions led by our Ambassadors on themes that align with our research. These monthly talks are a chance for individuals passionate about education to connect and engage in discussions around the state of education globally; creating awareness, sharing ideas and learning from fresh perspectives.
Since we're talking about student voice, it's only right that this month's host will be HundrED Youth Ambassador, Jordy Angel-Coldwell. If you haven't already seen Jordy's film on the importance of listening to student voice, be sure to check it out.
Joining Jordy will be Elliot Washor and Steven Edwards, the founders of two of the inspirational whole-school models featured in our Global Collection 2018. Elliot Washor, co-founder of Big Picture Learning, is an award-winning educator and author of the book 'Leaving To Learn: How Out-of-School Learning Increases Student Engagement and Reduces Dropout Rates'. Dr. Steven Edwards is a university professor, an author and the co-founder of Vega Schools in India.
We'll also be joined by HundrED Academy member Isabella Henrique, the Director of Advocacy & Children's Rights at the Instituto Alana, Brazil.
You are warmly invited to join us on August 19th at 15:00 (UTC) for an interactive conversation on student voice and innovation in education. The conversation will take place via Zoom and all are welcome to participate, all you need to do is sign up here!
