Meet the HundrED Team: Pukhraj Ranjan, Global Community Manager

Tell us a little about yourself.

Hi! I am Pukhraj from India. I currently work as the Global Community Manager at the Helsinki Office. I came to Finland to pursue my Masters in Educational Leadership, though, fell in love with the people, the country and the values it stands for, and so, from the looks of it, I am not leaving anytime soon!

Why do you want to work at HundrED?

Before joining HundrED, I worked as a teacher trainer in an Indian NGO and personally faced the dire need for excellent, ready-made resources and innovative practices for our schools and classrooms. When I heard about HundrED's mission to seek and share innovative practices in the K12 space, it felt like a calling and I knew I could help foster a community that collectively is going to change the face of education.

Why should we change our schools?

Because the world is changing.

From social media to social awareness skills, our students need it all to excel in the future to come. And for me it doesn't matter if you are a teacher, a parent or a businessman, it is OUR collective responsibility.

Why is innovation in education crucial today?

Because the older methods are not helping the students reach their true potential, and there are better and smarter ways to teach a generation that will define our tomorrow!

At HundrED, we know they are out there and we want to help share it with the world.

Three HundrED innovations you love.

Although I love and am impressed by every idea and innovation I have seen so far on the HundrED portal, I am particularly attracted towards innovations with a development cause. Ideas changing and challenging the status quo through global citizenship ideas, equity-based ideologies, and collaborative problem-solving approaches:
