How Can One Lead Successful School Reform? - Ivan Bogantsev | HundrED WEBday

Ivan Bogantsev, HundrED Ambassador & Head Teacher of European Gymnasium, a K12 school from Russia went live on the HundrED Facebook Page to share about his school's audacious reform aimed at reshaping all aspects of the school environment — educational programs, management, design and architecture.

This video first appeared on our Facebook page on July 17th, as part of the HundrED WEBday series.

Who is Ivan Bogantsev?

Ivan Bogantsev is headmaster of a Moscow-based K12 private school. Having received his BSc in philosophy from London School of Economics and his MSc from École Normale Supèrieure, Paris, he went on to work for the Polytechnic (Science) museum in Moscow, gradually taking the role of Deputy Director for education. He quit the museum after eight years in 2018 and moved on to take up the role of a headmaster of European Gymnasium, a small K12 school and kindergarten in Moscow. This came to many as a surprise, given he has had no previous school experience. It did not prevent him and his team, however, from launching an audacious reform aimed at reshaping all aspects of the school environment — educational programs, management, design and architecture. The school is now in the middle of this reform, looking to share its experience and learn from the global HundrEd community.
