About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Teacher Development Webinars was initiated to promote synchronous/asynchronous learning and support teachers with professional development opportunities. This journey commenced in the lockdown period with an aim to facilitate teachers worldwide in smoothly transitioning to online teaching and learning.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

We conduct informational webinars by inviting teachers, educators, practitioners & professionals from all around the globe through zoom platform which are LIVE streamed on our official YouTube channel or Facebook page.

How has it been spreading?

Our community has been expeditiously expanding ever since the inauguration.
We are available on all social media platforms. Currently, we have more than 20000 members on our official facebook page and group. The recordings of our webinar sessions are available free of cost on YouTube which attracts a huge number of audience worldwide. We have gathered a truly global audience seeking for help from different parts of the world including but not limited to Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines, Indonesia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United States, Turkey, Morocco, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru and other Middle East countries.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

The pandemic has created a huge demand of such projects. Though a rise of similar projects have been observed, there still is a gap which needs to be fulfilled when it comes to offering CPD.
We work by hosting online webinars and inviting professionals from around the world who show their interest to cascade their knowledge and that's how we take them on-board. This project can easily be adapted.
