This innovation aimed on assisting orphans and Vulnerable children during six years of their secondary schools

This project aimed on helping 2000 orphans and vulnerable students during a period of six years by paying school fees and giving them other needed materials,these are children who are not attending schools well due to economic back ground of their families that have been weakened by poor back History of Rwanda,under this project 1200girls and 800 boys will be assisted during their studies.

About the innovation

Helping hands for Rwanda

Helping hands for Rwanda is a project of kigali peace club where 2000 vulnerable and orphans students will be assisted during their studies by providing financial support, school materials ,guidance and other necessary training.

we would like to reduce number of orphans and vulnerable children who are out of school inspiring them , assisting them financially and providing other necessary support to them so that they can have access to quality of Education.

I am an experienced teacher, mentor trainer in charge of training teachers in kicukiro sector , founder and director of Kigali Peace Club an organisation with mission of empower and inspire people and Vision of being role model in transforming communities, we are member of RENCP ( Rwanda Education National Platform),where i am working with ECD working group.

Currently organisation is supporting 21 students and we want to increase the number as Vulnerable students are many.


Implementation steps

Helping hands for Rwanda

while implementing this project parents ,local leaders should participate and it is better to start activities 1 or 2 months before the starting of first academic year.

one or two people from experienced NGO should be in managing committee.

you may also work with school leaders because they know some of these children and their problems.

Meeting of parents and staff members and even that of students and staff members should take place after the end of one academic year, is better to invite local leader representative in these meetings

Mentors should be trained before starting working
