Senior Programs and Policy Manager AREAi, Every child no matter their geographical location deserves a save and clean access to quality education
Osama Godwin has over 3years of experience working in the non-profit sector and also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Currently Godwin is the Senior Programs and policy manager at Aid for Rural Education Access Initiative (AREAi) where he designed and manages innovative interventions that provide multiple alternative learning and empowerment opportunities for children and adolescent girls and women in the rural communities across Africa. Previously Godwin worked with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) where he manages cross-cultural teams of Nigeria and UK volunteers on the UK government funded International Citizen Service (ICS) to implement education projects that improve quality of education in Rural Nigeria. Godwin has volunteered as a development knowledge facilitator on the Nigerian government SDGs advocacy program where he helped raises awareness on the global amongst secondary school students in Nigeria. Through these experiences he developed strong project management and leadership skills. Godwin enjoys focussing on topics of child protection and right to quality education and has a passion for women empowerment.
